Brake Die Steel is a special chromium-molybdenum analysis designed especially for brake dies. It combines good machinability with high compressive strength, wear resistance, and toughness.
It is heat treated, straightened, and stress relieved to Brinell 248-293 (Re 24-31), and is generally used without further heat treatment.

Lengths of tool steel bars will vary according to grade and size. Stock lengths will generally be in the range of 6 to 12 feet, unless otherwise specified, but we will saw cut to specified lengths as required.

Color Marking: Ends painted Green
